The fiberglass duct rodders are also known as duct snakes, fiberglass snakes, cable feeding snakes, fiberglass trace rods, and fiberglass duct rods, used for feeding or hauling ropes into duct/conduit / PVC pipe or through walls for the installation of power or communication cables. A fiberglass duct rodder comprises a core rod and an outer reinforcement layer. Typically, the rod is made of alkali-free fiberglass by the pultrusion process, which features strong toughness, considerable pulling force, break-resistant, and aging resistance. In contrast, the outer layer consists of highly durable, scratch-resistant polyethylene, which can protect the core from mechanical damage.
